Company Profile

Our roots are in the development of some of the world's most complex ASICs. We have vast experience in designing cutting-edge ASICs in the most advanced technologies. We are a world expert in advanced ASIC verification methodologies. Verisense is strategically aligned with Global Unichip Corporation (GUC) and through them provide all aspects of supply chain management and a vast IP portfolio for all TSMCs processes. Verisense is also the formal representative for GUC in Israel.

In recent years we expanded our business to serve also the FPGA industry. While we provide our customers all aspects of FPGA development, we have been able to illustrate to many of them the value of using advanced ASIC verification methodologies also in the FPGA world. Using this methodology we can provide complete correct-by-design FPGAs, complete coverage reports, and a virtually effortless and predictable bring-up.

The disciplines and methodologies used in the ASIC world lend themselves well to the Avionics DO-254 process for certifying FPGAs and ASICs for use in airborne systems. For the last few years we have been working with multiple customers on a number of DO-254 FPGA design and verification projects. Having gained in-depth insights into this market and its technological challenges, Verisense has developed a set of solutions including hardware testers for DO-254 FPGA certification.

Vision

As ASIC and FPGA designs become ever more complex and the level of professionalism required to bring products to market increases, there is a growing trend of both large and small companies to move portions or all of their design to external professional teams rather than build larger design teams and expertise in-house.

Management

Yehuda Shaik - Co-Chairman, President

Yehuda Shaik has 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. Prior to Verisense Yehuda held the role of Senior Director of engineering at Broadcom Israel, VP Engineering at Siliquent and General Manager and VP of Engineering at AMCC Israel. Mr. Shaik began his career at Motorola Semiconductor Israel (Now Freescale) where he escalated to the role of Department Manager for the department of Networking and Communication Integrated Devices. Mr. Shaik holds an Executive MBA from the University of Bradford, Israeli Branch and a BSEE from the Technion.

Pini Lozowick - Co-Chairman

Pini Lozowick has 29 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. In prior positions Mr. Lozowick was a Partner in Alta Berkeley, a London based VC fund, Chairman of Provigent a wireless backhaul ASIC company (acquired by Broadcom in 2011), Vice President of Marketing at Chiaro, Director of Marketing at Broadcom Corporation where Mr. Lozowick helped establish Broadcom, then a startup, as the world leader for broadband communication ICs. Prior to Broadcom, Mr. Lozowick led the transition of the Digital Semiconductor networking group from an R&D center to a multi-mllion dollar business. Mr. Lozowick is also a partner in OurCrowd, an Israeli crowd funding company, serves on the board of a number of nonprofit organizations and holds a BSEE degree from The Technion.

Nir Weintroub - CEO

Nir Weintroub brings 15 years of experience of managing VLSI verification development in semiconductors companies. Nir joined Verisense in 2008 where he has led multiple development projects including for Intel, Elbit, and Amimon. Prior to Verisense , Mr. Weintroub was the verification manager of Broadlight (acquired by Broadcom). In this position he was responsible for building the verification team, defining the Verification methodology and leading complicated ASICs to successful completion. He is responsible for driving Verisense's wide portfolio of services to new strategic markets. Mr. Weintroub holds a BSEE from the Ben-Gurion University and an M.B.A from the Technion.
